Influence of Internship Exposure on Entrepreneurial Engagement between Food and Beverage Diploma Graduates from Tertiary Institutions

Entrepreneurship is recognized as a beacon of business start-ups. It drives individuals to realize their synergy, visualize and strategize / focus towards entrepreneurial path. vibrant process aimed at creating economic returns through innovations. This study sought determine the influence internship exposure on engagement between food beverage diploma graduates from tertiary institutions. The was informed by Human Capital Theory. An explanatory research design adopted. Apart graduates, lecturers institutions that offer courses also formed part respondents. Specifically, 14 Nairobi County were targeted for study, which included two public universities, four private three government technical five training colleges. Fishers formula used derive sample size population. Using purposive sampling technique self-administered questionnaires, qualitative quantitative data collected. Descriptive inferential procedures in analysis. For data, Statistical Package Social Sciences (SPSS) software used, while thematic analysis used. From analysis, findings indicated do not have significant effects engagements. concluded nurtures starting own engagement. Internship enables graduate build confidence, it an eye opener viable ventures it’s network interaction with diverse personalities. recommends should be essential industry representatives work closely hospitality programs educators ensure students are developing realistic advancement expectations positive perceptions future industry.
